BABYMONSTER Enters U.S. Billboard Global at No. 101, Achieving Success Just 8 Days After Debut

According to the latest chart released by the U.S. Billboard on the 5th (local time), BABYMONSTER’s debut digital single ‘BATTER UP’ entered at No. 101 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 49 on the Billboard Global (Billboard Global Excl. U.S) chart.

 

The U.S. Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global are rankings based on streaming and music sales (downloads) collected from over 200 regions worldwide. These charts are considered one of the global popularity indicators as they reflect the latest trends in the pop music market, created by U.S. Billboard.

 

BABYMONSTER achieved the feat of making it to the Billboard chart just 8 days after their debut. They have proven their global appeal with their unique musicality and overwhelming performance capabilities. Particularly, securing a spot in the top 50 of the Billboard Global (Billboard Global Excl. U.S) chart signifies a smooth start.

 

In addition, BABYMONSTER has topped four different chart sectors with ‘BATTER UP’, ranking No. 5 on the ‘World Digital Song Sales Chart’, and No. 1 on the ‘LyricFind Global’ chart. Moreover, upon its release at midnight on the 27th of last month, the single ‘BATTER UP’ swept the No. 1 spot on iTunes Song Charts in 21 countries. It also dominated China’s QQ Music ‘Music Index Chart’, ‘Rising Daily Chart’, and ‘KPOP Weekly Chart’.

 

Especially on YouTube, the response has been explosive. The music video for ‘BATTER UP’ became the ‘most viewed video within 24 hours’, recording a new record for a K-pop group debut with 22.59 million views in just one day. It continued to top the global YouTube daily popular chart for five consecutive days, securing the top spot on the weekly chart, and has now surpassed 70 million views.
